The Brown Group International is a consulting firm headquartered in Houston and co-founded by Dr. Lee P. Brown. Dr. Brown began a career in law enforcement as a beat cop in California, but came to national attention in 1978 as Atlanta’s Commissioner of Public Safety. While serving in that capacity, Brown handled the investigation of the Atlanta Child murders, a case of a serial killer that took the life of over 20 children.

With the increasingly rising criminal activity evident in the city of New Orleans, you would like to think that the city is concerned and planning to take action. They were apparently ready to do that in 2007 when Brown Group International was brought in to develop a plan of action to provide recommendations on increasing community policing in the city.
