Moderated by NOPD Sgt. Chris Prochaska, Third District Community Affairs Coordinator, this community page was developed to help foster communication and an exchange of information between the New Orleans Police Department and the citizens it has pledged to protect. Residents of the NOPD's 3rd District are highly encouraged to join this group to automatically receive emailed alerts from Sgt. Prochaska, engage in moderated discussions, submit questions or concerns about how to keep your neighborhood safe from crime, and to learn more about incidents in our area. Thank all of you who responded for your interest in our Citizen Police Academy. Since the email blast was sent on Monday, August 23, 2010 and posted on www.ProjectNOLA.com I have numerous responses. These responses have come from persons residing in several different police districts. As the slots are broken down and allotted by district I will attempt to ensure that your request is directed to the Community Affairs Sergeant in your police district, if you included this information in your initial email. If not you may either provide me with the information so I can see it is directed to the Sergeant in your police district, or contact he/she directly at the telephone number(s)/email address(s) below.
As space is limited I am sure that not everybody interested will be able to attend this class; however I will inquire about the possibility of adding additional spaces and/or the dates of future classes. I will post that information as soon as it is received.
