Riley claims a 30% reduction in Mardi Gras Crime... but.... 3 Years, 3 Months ago Karma: 38
In a Channel 6 interview that just aired minutes ago, Chief Riley claimed that crime was down by 30% when compared to last year's Mardi Gras. However, at current, the NOPD is still working with a large backlog of calls holding from earlier today, involving property crimes. As many victims could not wait hours for a report unit to arrive, many had no choice but to leave the scene, and call NOPD back and request that a report be taken via phone. Earlier this morning, ProjectNOLA members were hearing via the scanners that NOPD is refusing to allow reports submitted via phone, and was advising victims that they are out of luck unless they can come back into the city.
