Person reported shot at 1630 Canal St. Currently in lobby of hotel. First responding unit on scene. Confirmed the shooting, and requested that EMS "step it up."

Sadly, a major crime scene log has just been called on what started as a shooting. Typing this, now they are now changing the signal to a 30... a Murder. It sounds like the victim died on the scene, as EMS is still on site.

Note - the call first came out as a 34s, a shooting. The dispatcher advised that a man went to the hotel desk and advised that his girlfriend was shot.

TWO MORE PEOPLE OF INTEREST WANTED: 2 B/Ms. Both Deaf. One wearing blue plaid shirt, the other wearing a yellow shirt. Both were last seen walking toward the river. CALL 911 SHOULD YOU SEE, OR KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT THESE PEOPLE.

This hotel was never a Raddison. The Raddison is a better hotel closed than this one is open. The Raddison was in the 1500 block, this is one block over, immediately adjacent to Claiborne.
