Suspect Wanted For Burglary

 

New Orleans, LA - Members of The New Orleans Police Department are requesting the public’s assistance in locating 18-year-old Joseph Smith, last known address of 1636 Pleasure Street wanted in connection with a residential burglary. 

 

According to investigators, on August 10, 2010, a residence burglary occurred in the 6000 block of Wilton/>/> Drive where the suspect gained entry inside of the home and fled with property.   

 

During the course of the investigation, Third District Detective Hal Amos positively identified Joseph Smith as the person responsible for the burglary and obtained an arrest warrant for Simple Burglary. 

 

Citizens with information about this crime and that can help locate Joseph Smith are asked to call CRIMESTOPPERS at 822-1111, toll-free 1-877-903-STOP(7867).  Callers could receive a reward of up to $2,500 for information leading to the arrest and indictment of the responsible person and they do not have to give their name nor testify to receive the award.
