Murder Investigation

New Orleans/>, LA/>/> – Members of the New Orleans Police Department are investigating the apparent shooting death of an unidentified male and the apparent shooting of a 32-year old male.  The names of the victims are being withheld pending notification of family members.  The offense occurred shortly after 10:00 P.M., in the 7100 block of

 According to investigators, Seventh District officers responded to a call of a "shooting", and upon their arrival, officers located an unidentified male lying on the sidewalk suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to the body and a 32-year-old male suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to the body.  Emergency medical technicians arrived on the scene and pronounced the unidentified male dead.  The 32-year-old male was transported to a local hospital and was listed in stable condition. 

Currently, investigators are in the process of gathering evidence and information to identify the person(s) involved in this offense, as well as a motive.  Homicide Detective Elizabeth Garcia is in charge of the investigation and can be reached at 658-5300.
