On Sunday, July 25th, 2010 at around 11:04 A.M., the victim was
driving near the intersection of Bellaire Street and Harrison Avenue,
when his vehicle was rear-ended by a four door Chevy Impala or Monte
Carlo. The victim continued driving and was rear-ended again in the
6500 block of Bellaire Drive by the same vehicle. Upon pulling over
near Bellaire Drive and 34th Street, he went to open his vehicle's
door, when an unknown Hispanic male armed with a box cutter pulled the
door open and ordered him to get into the passenger seat, to which he
complied, and the subject pulled off in the victim's vehicle and
turned onto 34th Street. At this point, the victim grabbed the
steering wheel, causing the vehicle to run off the road, strike a
telephone pole and the victim to hit his head against the windshield.
The subject then jumped out of the vehicle, grabbing the victim's
prescription blood pressure medication and wallet before fleeing on
foot.
The perpetrator is described as 5'9" tall, weighing 165 lbs, wearing a
black t shirt, black shorts, and a black bandanna with white, paisley
designs. The driver of the maroon Impala or Monte Carlo is described
as a w/m subject with reddish-colored hair, thin beard, with "R.I.P."
tattooed in green ink on the right side of his neck.
