There is a scam involving subjects selling magazines door to door.
They collect money, but no magazine is ever delivered. Please call the
police if you become suspicious and we will investigate.

Remember to report any suspicious persons or activities you see in
your neighborhood by calling 821-2222. In an emergency, call 911
immediately.

AGGRAVATED BATTERY BY CUTTING 3700 BLOCK OF GEN MEYER

On 3/06 at 2000hrs, victim and subject were at the victim's residence,
at which time the subject grabbed a metal pot and struck the victim in
the head with it. subject then began stabbing the victim and fled the
scene.

subject Nicholas Carmouche W/M 02/04/1991 was charged and arrested for
this
incident. Additional information on this arrest and/or subsequent
prosecution
can be obtained via the docketmaster at www.opcso.org

Greetings:

I want to acknowledge all the groups and Algiers residents that took
their time and money to see that the Officers of the 4th District were
fed prior to leaving for some very long days during Mardi Gras this
year. You folks were wonderful and we all here at the 4th District
thank you so very much.

Time to get back to our APAC (Algiers Police Advisory Meeting)
Meetings. This month we’ll meet here at the 4th District Station, 1348
Richland Rd at 7PM on Wednesday March 10th, 2010. Please mark your
calendars now and we’ll see you at the meeting.

SIMPLE ROBBERY 700 BLOCK OF NEWTON

On 02/26at 2050hrs, victim was delivering pizza, at which time he was
approached by an unknown black male. subject demanded the victim's
money, to which the victim refused. subject then reached into the
victim's pocket and removed an unknown amount of money. a brief
struggle occurred, at which time the subject fled the scene on a
bicycle.

subject B/M 5'11", 200lbs, light complexion, facial hair, unknown
tattoo on right cheek, white hooded jacket w/unknown design on front

On 02/27at 2315hrs, victim drove two black males to the above
location, at which time the rear passenger exited and walked away and
the front passenger brandished a chrome revolver and stated to the
victim to give up her purse while saying "this is what I do for a
living". subject then demanded the victim's pin to her debit card and
fled the scene.
