Suspect Wanted for Aggravated Rape
New Orleans - The New Orleans Police Department is requesting the public’s assistance in locating and identifying a suspect wanted in connection for an aggravated rape. The offense occurred on November 21, 2010, at a location to be determined on
Florida Avenue, at approximately 11:45 A.M.
According to investigators, the 52-year-old female victim was consuming alcohol during the night with friends when she elected to leave the location and began to walk. The suspect approached the victim in a vehicle and offered a ride. The victim accepted. The suspect drove the victim to a location, stopped the vehicle, retrieved a handgun from the trunk and sexually assaulted the victim. The suspect then took an amount of U.S. currency from the victim’s purse before making the victim exit the vehicle. The suspect fled on
Florida Avenue towards Saint Bernard Avenue and then unknown.
The suspect is described as an African American male, approximately 30 years of age, short in height, brown skin and bucked teeth. The suspect was wearing a black shirt, black jeans and a black cap.
The vehicle is described as a small black two door sports car with tinted windows. The vehicle had black interior seats and a gray center console.
Sex Crimes Detectives are in charge of the investigation and can be reached at 658-5521.
