On Tuesday, June 22, 2010 at about 7:00pm, the victim stated she was
in her residence in the 2800 block of A. P. Tureaud Ave. The victim
stated the two wanted subjects entered her residence poising as water
maintenance workers. The victim said the first subject clad in a tan
button down shirt asked to come into her residence to check the water.
The subject checked the water at a sink in the laundry room and then
asked to check the water in the kitchen. The victim said she advised
the subject that her water was fine and that he needed to leave. The
second subject; a heavy set white male entered the residence and
stated: “I’m so sorry that your water is not working”. The subject
proceeded to grab the victim’s left hand and aggressively pulled her
wedding rings from her hand and fled the residence in an unknown
direction.
