Murder Investigation
New Orleans, LA – Members of the New Orleans Police Department are investigating the apparent shooting death of a 17-year-old local male. The name of the victim is being withheld pending notification of family members. The offense occurred at approximately 6:34 P.M., in the 2400 block of
North Prieur Street.
According to investigators, Fifth District officers responded to a call of a “male shot” and upon their arrival found the victim lying in the street with multiple gunshot wounds to the body. Emergency Medical Paramedics arrived on the scene and pronounced the victim dead.
Currently, investigators are in the process of gathering evidence and information to identify the person(s) involved in this incident, as well as a motive. Homicide Detective Anthony Pardo is in charge of the investigation. Citizens with information that can help solve this crime are asked to call CRIMESTOPPERS at 822-1111, toll-free 1-877-903-STOP(7867). You could receive a cash reward of up to $2,500 for information leading to the arrest and indictment of the responsible person(s). You do not have to give your name nor testify to receive the reward.
