Suspect Wanted For Murder

 

New Orleans Members of the New Orleans Police Department have issued an arrest warrant for 24-year-old Jason Hamilton wanted in connection with the murder of Anthony M. Barre.  The offense occurred November 14, 2010 at approximately 8:15 P.M., in the 2000 block of

North Rocheblave Street
.     

 

According to investigators, Fifth District officers responded to a call of a “male shot” and upon their arrival, found the victim lying on the sidewalk with apparent gunshot wounds to the body. Emergency Medical Paramedics arrived on the scene and pronounced the victim dead. 

 

During the course of the investigation, Homicide Detective Kevin Burns positively identified Jason Hamilton as the person responsible for the murder and secured an Arrest Warrant.

Crimestoppers is offering up to a $2,500 reward for information leading to the arrest and indictment of the person(s) responsible. Citizens with information regarding this crime are the whereabouts of Hamilton are asked to call Crimestoppers at 822-1111 or toll free at 1-877-903-STOP (7867). Callers do not have to leave their name nor testify in court to receive the reward.
