Police Investigate Murder Suicide Incident in the 3300 Block of
Marigny Street/>New Orleans/>/> - Members of the New Orleans Police Department are investigating the apparent stabbing death of a 55-year-old female, and the apparent suicide of her 66-year old husband. The offense occurred shortly after 8:00 A.M., inside of their home.
According to investigators, the female victim arrived home this morning and became involved in an argument with her husband. A relative that was staying with the couple left the residence. A short while later, the relative returned and found the female lying on the floor of the bathroom with stab wounds to the body and observed that the female’s husband had hung himself. Emergency Medical Paramedics arrived on the scene and pronounced the victims dead.
The Coroners Office will conduct their investigation to determine the exact cause of death.
Homicide Detective Regina Williams is in charge of the investigation.
