       The New Orleans Police Department-Public Information Office

“New Orleans Police S.O.D. Task Force Units Booked 22Alleged Felons”

  

The New Orleans Police Department’s Special Operations Division (S.O.D) Task Force Unit investigated 122 complaints, 24 previous complaints, yielding 41 arrests for 22 Felonies, 32 Misdemeanor and 1 Municipals violation.  Officers stopped 65 vehicles and wrote 10 Citations.  They conducted 63 Wanted Checks, made 86 Pedestrian Checks and wrote 50 reports.  They conducted 63 Wanted Checks and made 2 Narcotics cases confiscating Narcotics.

 

Since July of 2010, Officers investigated approximately 10,240 complaints, executed approximately 122 Search Warrants, made approximately 1,510 Felony cases, conducted approximately 4,237 vehicle checks, issued approximately 536 citations, made approximately 192 Narcotics cases, confiscated approximately 149 guns and numerous amounts of Illegal Substances.

Gino McDowell 23, for a Capias for Murder.

Carlasia Ross 25, for 4 Fugitive Attachments.

JosephHills 26, for 2 Fugitive Attachments, Driving on a Suspended License and a Invalid Plate.

Lamar Marshall 21, for 2 Fugitive Attachments.

Stephen Veal 45, for 2 Fugitive Attachments.

Jermaine Mitchell 25, for 2 Fugitive Attachments for illegal Possession of a Firearm and Traffic Violations.

Lamont Smith 32, for a Fugitive Attachment, Obstruction, Resisting Arrest, Disturbing the Peace and Public Intoxication.

Ashley Franklin 25, for a Fugitive Attachment, Driving on a Suspended License and Improper Display of a Plate.

Donovan Williams 27, for a Fugitive Attachment, Driving on a Suspended License and Improper Turn at Intersection.

Charles Glover 33, for a Fugitive Attachment.

Freddy Burgess 39, for a Fugitive Attachment.

Jarrod Brooks 19, for a Fugitive Attachment.

Brian Seward 41, for a Fugitive Attachment.

Byron Johnson 19, for Driving on a Suspended License, No Seat Belt and No Headlights.

Keyan Brown 17, for Second Degree Murder and Attempt Second Degree Murder.

Lawrence Brown 19, for Second Degree Murder and Attempt Second Degree Murder.

Jarrard Laroche 25, for Unauthorized Use of a Vehicle and a Capias for Simple Battery.

Martin Blanco 26, for a Miscellaneous Violations Capias.

Carey Arceneaux 26, for 5 Fugitive Attachments.

Shanell Sims 25, for a Fugitive Attachment.

 

Violent Offenders Warrant Unit and Fugitive Unit Arrested the Following Subjects on Warrants.

 

A 16-year-old male for Second Degree Battery

Jerome Toliver 21, for Attempted First Degree Murder and Intimidating a Witness.

Gabriel Bobar 38, for Home Invasion Domestic, Simple Battery and Theft.

Calvin Moore 30, for Home Invasion and Simple Criminal Damage to Property.

Taiwan Ford 20, for Carnal Knowledge of a Juvenile. 

Trina Riley 39, for Aggravated Criminal Damage to Property.

Richard Lindusky 31, for Filing or Maintaining False Public Records.

Kenneth Watts 25, for Filing or Maintaining False Public Records.

Tymeceon Bass 20, for 2 Fugitive Attachments.

Damian Blanks 21, and Nicolas Cockerham 20, for a Fugitive Attachment for Attempted Murder.

Robert Garrett 51, for a Fugitive Attachment.

William Domingo 19, for a Fugitive Attachment for Attempted Murder.

Earl Brown 27, for a Fugitive Attachment for Second Degree Battery and Resisting Arrest.

Dexter Talley 24, for Domestic Abuse Battery.

 

Project Safe Neighborhood Knock and Talk

 

Project Safe Neighborhood Detective Kori Keaton conducted 12 Knock and Talk Convicted Felon Checks.  Three suspects were arrested.

 

Chad Course 33, for a Capias for Narcotics Violations. 

Evan Graves 19, for a Simple Burglary Capias and Possession of Marijuana.

Temeka Gross 32, for 2 Fugitive Attachment.    

 

The 2011 Year-to-Date Totals:  80 Checks and 20 Arrests.

Juvenile Arrest

 

A 14-year-old male for Violating his Court Ordered Curfew.

A 14-year-old female for Violating her Court Ordered Curfew, Failure to Appear in Court and Failure to Charge the Monitoring Device.

A 16-year-old male for Violating his Court Ordered Curfew.

 

Adult Arrest

Any person who, after the commission of a felony, shall harbor, conceal, or aid the offender, knowing or having reasonable ground to believe that he has committed the felony, and with the intent that he may avoid or escape from arrest, trial, conviction, or punishment shall be charged with R.S. 14:25; Relative to Accessories After the Fact. 

 

An accessory after the fact may be tried and punished, notwithstanding the fact that the principal felon may not have been arrested, tried, convicted, or amenable to justice.  

 

Whoever becomes an accessory after the fact shall be fined not more than five hundred dollars, or imprisoned, with or without hard labor, for not more than five years, or both; provided that in no case shall his punishment be greater than one-half of the maximum provided by law for a principal offender.
