NOPD Issues Arrest Warrant in the Marigny Neighborhood Robbery Late Tuesday Night

(May 4, 2012)-  This morning the NOPD Violent Offender Warrant Squad and the U.S.Marchals arrested 25-year-old Brandy Lee Bass in Jefferson Parish for the May 2, 2012 armed robbery of four people which happened in the 2000 block of Dauphine Street in the” Marigny Triangle”.

Detectives say, after Bass robbed the victims at gun point for their property he jumped into the passenger’s side of a late model silver 4-door Chevrolet HHR and fled the area. The victims were able to gather the first three letters of the fleeing vehicle’s Georgia license plate number.

Through further investigation, it was revealed the vehicle used to commit the robbery was owned by enterprise rentals, the vehicle was rented by Bass. Detectives were able to compile a photographic line up where Brandy Bass was positively identified by the victims as the person responsible for the robbery.

Bass is currently on parole for Illegal Carrying of a firearm and Possession with the Intent to Distribute Cocaine until December of this year.

Bass is currently being held at the Jefferson Parish Correctional Center for warrants and an unrelated weapon charges. Bass will be brought to Orleans Parish and charged with four counts of Armed Robbery.
