NOPD Investigating A Fatality That Left A 66-Year-Old Slidell Man Dead
New Orleans Police Department’s Fatality Section is investigating a Fatality that left a 66-year-old Slidell man dead. The accident occurred at approximately 10:00 pm on Interstate 10 Eastbound past the
Michoud Boulevard exit in Eastern New Orleans.The driver of a Ford truck, a 56-year-old Slidell man was stopped on the interstate due to construction work. The driver of a Harley Davidson motorcycle, a 66-year-old Slidell man lost control of his motorcycle and struck the back of a truck. The 66-year-old man was ejected from the motorcycle and died on the scene.
The driver of the truck was not injured in the incident.
The Orleans Parish Coroner will conduct an autopsy to determine the exact cause of death.
Blood and Alcohol test are pending.
No citations were issued and the accident remains under investigation.
Fatality Investigator Richard Blackman Sr. is in charge of the investigation.
